CELEBRATE YANDINA'S UNIQUE SPIRIT AT THE YANDINA STREET FAIR

The vibrant and charming town of Yandina is gearing up for a grand celebration of its unique community spirit at the highly anticipated Yandina Street Fair.

Taking place on Sunday, August 20th, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, this family-friendly event promises a day of joy, entertainment, and a true reflection of Yandina's identity.

Event Highlights:
• Experience a day filled with laughter and excitement with attractions including a Sizzler, Super Slide, Cup & Saucer, Jumping Castle, RockWall, Face Painting, Glitter Nails, Petting Zoo, Roving Puppeteers, Stilt Walkers, Caricature Artist, Stephen Hollis as ‘Silver Steve’ the street performer, and a Magician.
• Indulge in delectable culinary delights from various food trucks and explore a range of local artisanal stalls.
• Immerse yourself in the sounds of Yandina's vibrant music scene with live performances from talented local artists and community groups.

The Yandina Street Fair holds a special place in the heart of the community, serving as a celebration of its identity and unity.

After a 4-year hiatus the fair returns, providing attendees with an opportunity to revel in the town's rich history and bright future.

The event fosters a sense of pride among residents, encouraging them to cherish the spirit of their beloved community.

The Fair's program boasts a lineup of captivating entertainment, featuring live performances across three stages.

Highlights include a Traditional Welcome to Country by local Gubbi Gubbi Elders, the enchanting melodies of The Caledonian Pipes and Drums, the poetic storytelling of Noel Stallard OAM, and musical showcases by Nambour State College students, Mayah & Band, Escape Plann, Pretty Jesus, Trillions, Million Johnny's, Flaskas, Demi Casha, Ausphonic, Tony Casley, Johnny Curran, Stu White, and so much more.

The Yandina Queensland Country Women's Association will host a charming tearoom featuring homemade preserves and baked goods, craft and plant stalls, and raffles.

The Grand Finale of the evening will be a performance by Skyfall Entertainment
involving Fire, Light & Special Effects

Robert Skelton MP, State Member for Nicklin, congratulated the organising committee for their efforts in coordinating this year’s fair.

“I would like to thank the committee for stepping up and organising this for the community after the event has not been able to go ahead for the last 4 years.

“The local Chamber of Commerce & Street Fair Organising Committee expect 5000 plus visitors will attend the much anticipated return of the Traditional Street Fair.

“Now in it’s 43rd year, we invite everyone to come along to the Yandina Street Fair and be part of a proud celebration of the community and business of Yandina & Districts” said Greg Corbin, Street Fair committee chairman.
