Yandina State School has officially opened its new two-storey $19.64 million learning and administration centre, providing much needed space for growing enrolment numbers.

The new facility includes six additional classrooms ensuring all students now have purpose-built learning areas, along with a dedicated space for music which was previously taught outside.

A more accessible administration area is going to make life much easier and more inclusive for all students, teachers, staff and visitors.

The new facility also includes student and staff amenities, an art and kitchen area, teacher breakout room, conference rooms and specialist rooms and a lift, along with a new court for basketball, netball and tennis and new sports and ground sheds.

A new IT network, fibre optic connections to all buildings and a new staff carpark and sewer system were also included in the project.
