SUNSHINE COAST HEALTH SERVICES AT RISK UNDER THE LNP

17 October 2024

Health services for the Sunshine Coast community are at risk under David Crisafulli and the LNP as the opposition continues to hide its cuts plan from Queenslanders.

Latest available data shows more than 258,000 people are hospitalised in the Sunshine Coast HHS each year at a rate of more than 48,000 per 100,000 people.

David Crisafulli continues to promise to tax less and deliver a balanced budget.

The only way the LNP can deliver David Crisafulli’s reckless promises is to cut.

When David Crisafulli was a senior member of Campbell Newman’s cabinet, the LNP cut 4400 health workers across Queensland including more than 81 frontline health staff in the Sunshine Coast area.

Quotes attributable to Member for Nicklin Rob Skelton
"The Miles Labor Government prioritises public health care.

"That’s why we’re investing in a Sunshine Coast Satellite Hospital and extra health staff as well as regional bulk-billing GP clinics.

"That is all at risk thanks to David Crisafulli’s budget black hole."
